Club Brew Day on August 6th

What do you do after KILLING it at Homebrew Con 2022? You make more homebrew! Our next BCBS Club Brew is planned for Saturday, August 6th. Once again, we will be on the patio at Municipal Brew Works. Set up starts around 8am. Hot and cold water provided, and some electric access available for you fancy folks! See the Facebook Event for more details and the full conversation. For this Brew Day, we’ve got a couple of special details to share.

First, August 6th is Mead Day, and once again we’re partnering with Phil Hucke from Re-Hive, a local honey grower. You can purchase bulk honey for $6 per pound. Orders are due by July 24th. See the Facebook Post for additional details.

Second, while in Pints-burgh for Homebrew Con we connected with the cool kids at Midwest Reserve Hops, who have eight unique hop varieties grown only in the Midwest. They’ve offered to provide some samples for the club to play around with. Below is some info on each hop variety available. If you are interested, leave a comment in the FB Event Discussion. Register your interest soon, so there is time to ship.
